Role:

Seeking a meticulous and experienced Windows Engineer to join our client in finance and trade research based in London, where you will take charge of the entire Windows infrastructure across multiple continents.

Ideal candidates typically come from within the financial sector, especially investment banks, asset managers, trading firms/ hedge funds and similar.

The salary range for this role is unpublicised but this company offers some of the strongest packages in the country relative to candidate’s experience level.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the Windows infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, and related services.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex issues in the Windows Desktop environment.
• Enhance, automate, and standardize the Windows environment, utilizing PowerShell scripting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve issues, plan deployments, and improve systems.
• Document problem resolutions accurately using our online knowledge base.
• Support the daily operations of colleagues, ensuring high-quality systems performance.

Requirements:

• Extensive & consistent experience at a finance firm, investment bank or trading company.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and Server 2012 R2/2016/2019.
• Advanced working knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot workstation operating systems, applications, peripherals, networks, and audio-visual equipment.
• Experience with hardware monitoring and performance tuning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service for support queries.
• Flexible and reliable team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Computer Science Degree or similar STEM is a bonus but not required
