We are currently working with a fast-growing start-up in the supply-chain space, looking to hire a Technical Sales Support.

They are a well-known supplier of supplier management and e-procurement software, who are dedicated to giving their customers the most user-friendly, streamlined software experience and value possible.

Role Summary:

As a Technical Sales Support, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the sales team, with the aim of promoting and selling the company’s tech products and services.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to possess a high-level understanding of the company’s offerings, as well as effectively communicating technical concepts to the customers and supporting the sales team throughout the sales cycle.

Collaborate with sales team to understand customer needs and determine how our technical products/services meet those needs.

• Help deliver engaging technical presentations and demonstrations to potential customers that highlight the features, benefits, and value of our services.

• Answer technical questions and provide accurate and timely responses to customer questions or concerns.

• Customize technical solutions to meet specific customer requirements, work closely with the sales team to offer tailored solutions.

• Create and maintain technical documentation including product specifications, user manuals and technical diagrams to support the sales process.

• Act as liaison between the sales team and the engineering/product development team, providing valuable feedback on customer interactions.

• Participate in pre- and post-sales activities, including solution design, implementation planning and post-implementation support.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to provide insights to the sales team.

• Coordinate with Marketing to ensure the technical accuracy of brochures, white papers and case studies.

• Participate in the training and integration of new members of the sales team on the technical aspects of our products/services.

Ideal Requirements for This Role:

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (eg computer science, engineering) or equivalent work experience.

• Proven experience in a technical role, such as technical sales, sales engineering or technical support.

• Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into user-friendly language.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and convincingly.

• Customer-centric mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

• Problem solving skills and the ability to think creatively to meet clients’ challenges.

• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, software applications and technologies.
