We are currently working with a fast-growing cloud-based SaaS start-up, looking to hire a Technical Sales Support Specialist.

They are a well-known supplier of supplier management and e-procurement software, and they are dedicated to giving its customers the most user-friendly, streamlined software experience and value possible.

Reason for opening: Expansion due to increased customer demand.

Role Summary ๐Ÿ’ป

As a Technical Sales Support Specialist, you will be tasked with assisting the sales team in promoting and marketing the technical goods and/or services offered by the organisation. You will have a deep knowledge of the company’s products and services, the capacity to explain technical ideas to clients clearly, and a proactive attitude in supporting the sales team at every stage of the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities ๐Ÿ”‘

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and identify how the company’s technical products/services meet those needs.
  • Assist in delivering compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting the features, benefits, and value of the organisation’s offerings.
  • Address technical enquiries and provide accurate, timely responses to customer questions or concerns.
  • Customise technical solutions to meet the specific requirements of clients, working closely with the sales team to propose tailored solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications, user guides, and technical diagrams, to support the sales process.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales team and the product development/engineering teams, providing valuable feedback from customer interactions.

Requirements ๐Ÿงพ

  • Proven experience in a technical role, such as technical sales, sales engineering, or technical support.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into customer-friendly language.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address customer challenges.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, software applications, and technologies.
