Location

Hybrid – Guildford/Christchurch

Role

• Lead and manage procurement activities for projects, support in winning business
• ensure optimised service quality, cost and customer stratification in procurement operations
• manage subcontracts, including negotiations and performance monitoring while adhering to procurement policies and governance

Responsibilities

• Support, lead, and manage subcontract shaping, drafting, and negotiation activities as part of bid or project teams.
• Build and manage supplier relationships and ecosystems, driving improvements in overall value from the supplier base.
• Identify, assess, and manage subcontracted risk and undertake vendor assessment to develop the supply base.

Requirements

• MUST BE UK CITIZEN AND HOLD SC CLEARANCE (cannot hold dual citizenship)
• strong background in subcontracting/procurement with expertise in complex technical programs and IT environment
• Experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations and forming supplier relationships
• strong skills in supplier analysis, evaluation and selection
• financial management experience of complex subcontracts
• knowledge of DEFCONS and excellent drafting and negotiation abilities
