The Opportunity

In this position, you will be responsible for managing the overall service delivery, ensuring you develop and integrate strategies that meet service level and budget expectations.

As a Service Manager, you will provide technical direction on specific subservices, working closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure that all demands are included in capacity plans for the appropriate systems.

You will need to stay up-to-date on the latest technical developments and release cycles in order to guarantee the efficient executions of all delivery aspects, including service level management and continual service improvement.

A Service Manager in this position needs to be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and be committed to continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the performance of service delivery from a technical standpoint and direct and control relevant suppliers, vendors, and subservices.
  • In charge of planning, analysing, monitoring, and enhancing the availability of IT services in accordance with the established service levels.
  • Forecasting demand for IT service delivery as a starting point for budget planning and computation.
  • Maintain strict control over the project timeline, risks, scope of work, and budget to ensure that installations and ongoing services are provided on time and satisfy client needs.
  • Provide assistance with internal service review sessions that involve performance, service enhancements, quality elements, and procedures.
  • Responsible for providing excellence in all parts of the service delivery function on frameworks derived from ITIL.
  • Responsible for implementing risk management procedures for technical service operations and managing security risks in compliance with corporate standards.

Ideal Requirements for this Role:

  • University degree
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM and ITIL)
  • Understanding of Continuity and Availability management
  • Understanding of Service Level and Capacity management
