Role Summary ๐ป
As an IT Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and driving projects with direct business impact and firm deadlines. You will assume full responsibility for the project’s definition, approach, facilitation, and successful completion, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
Key responsibilities ๐
- Taking full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation, and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects with direct business impact and firm deadlines.
- Assuming full responsibility for the project, including the budget.
- Planning and monitoring the project budget and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.
- Proactively identifying, assessing, and managing risks to the success of the project, implementing mitigation strategies when necessary.
- Ensuring the maintenance of realistic project plans and providing regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, aligning with the appropriate project management methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall).
- Facilitating quality reviews according to schedule and established procedures, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Managing the change control procedure, tracking and evaluating change requests, and ensuring project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale, and resource budgets.
- Obtaining sign-off on project deliverables, ensuring stakeholders’ satisfaction and alignment with project objectives.
Experience required ๐ง
- Proven ability to plan and manage the implementation of new business projects.
- Experience in the logistics or supply-chain space.
- Strong skills in monitoring and tracking progress, ensuring projects stay on schedule.
- Demonstrated expertise in defining and controlling project scope, ensuring deliverables meet requirements.
- Experience in identifying and managing project risks, and proactively mitigating potential issues.
- Proficient in allocating and monitoring work packages, ensuring tasks are assigned effectively.
- Ability to develop and build project teams, fostering collaboration and synergy among team members.
- Proficiency in managing implementation go-live activities, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Strong leadership skills in leading project meetings, driving engagement and effective decision-making.
- Capable of leading and/or facilitating requirements workshops, gathering and documenting key project specifications.
- Experience in managing change requests, evaluating their impact and implementing appropriate adjustments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior management on issues that arise during implementation, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
