About the Senior Data Scientist Vacancy:

  • As a Senior Data Scientist (mwd), you will, among other things, be actively involved in the digitalization of business processes and production systems through artificial intelligence at leading companies
  • You analyze customers’ challenges, translate them into complex, analytical questions and integrate everything closely with IT
  • You will contribute your professional skills, use your entrepreneurial thinking and thus further develop our strategic projects with high-impact
  • You share your knowledge with others – as a mentor for other colleagues or in our proven competence management

Ideal Requirements for Senior Data Scientist Vacancy:

  • At least a good degree in computer science, business informatics or related disciplines or in mathematics, physics or comparable natural science courses
  • Several years of practical experience in data science, business intelligence or software engineering in a machine learning environment or as a consultant in a digitalization context
  • Very good knowledge of at least one analytical programming language (e.g. Python, R) or a general-purpose programming language (e.g. C#, Java, C++, Rust)
  • Good knowledge of using relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS), big data technologies (e.g. Spark, Kafka) and operationalization tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in DevOps/MLOps principles and tools
  • Strong communication skills in German and English – within the team and towards customers

Additional Points:

Good knowledge in:

  • The application of software engineering principles and life cycle management
  • Relational databases and SQL
  • Logical and conceptual data modelling
  • Mathematical, statistical and computer science methods for model development, as well as their applicability to specific problems
  • Machine learning or deep learning
  • Cloud technologies, in particular Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • DevOps tools
  • Good consulting skills or potential

Nice-to-have expertise in:

  • Business Intelligence
  • Virtualisation with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Big data technologies, e.g. Hadoop, Spark, streaming
  • Experience with non-relational databases, e.g. graph databases
  • Linux
  • Sales affinity in the expert role
