Senior Middle Office Analyst – Trade Support (Credit)

Hybrid working (3 days in office)
London

We are working with a leading investment firm who are looking for an individual with a focus on Credit to join their Middle Office team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting Asset Managers by reviewing fund profit and loss accounts, ensuring accurate Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, and promptly addressing operational or valuation concerns.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily reviews and analyses of fund profit and loss accounts across various asset classes, using tools like BloombergNendor data to assist in performance reporting to Asset Managers.
  • Perform precise NAV calculations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, verifying accrued income and expenses. Additionally, provide intra-NAV estimates upon request.
  • Collaborate closely with fund administrators to reconcile final fund NAVs.
  • Assess foreign exchange exposures and communicate currency hedging requirements to Asset Managers as needed.
  • Review reconciliations among Custodians, Prime brokers, and internal records, coordinating investigations and corrections for discrepancies.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports on performance and historic trading analysis for Asset Managers and senior management.
  • Participate in meetings with administrators and pricing committees.
  • Ensure pricing governance and controls meet high standards, identifying and mitigating pricing risks, and documenting any framework enhancements.
  • Apply technical expertise in securities pricing across business operations.
  • Evaluate existing systems, processes, and procedures, recommending enhancements as appropriate.
  • Represent the team on broader projects such as trading system upgrades and regulatory change integration.
  • Provide oversight and monitoring of service providers.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Hold a qualification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
  • Previous experience in Credit is essential.
  • Strong numerical aptitude.
  • Background in Financial Services, particularly in investment banks or asset management firms.
  • Solid understanding of traded financial instruments.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to take ownership of individual tasks.
  • Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with multiple senior stakeholders.
