Chief Technical Officer

Up to £140,000 + package – 2 days p/w in London HQ

Orbis is excited to be working with a SaaS firm in London as the business searches for its next CTO! The business was founded in 2004 and focuses on the UK transport sector where its platform processes over £500m per year for its clients, making them one of the go-to providers for its specialism.

In this role, you will be setting the technical strategy for the business while managing the direct reports (4-6x heads), you will remain close to the code and are expected to assess the quality of code and not be afraid to ask the ‘difficult technical questions’ to your direct reports!


Scala, Microservices, React, React Native (apps), AWS, Docker, Terraform, Fargate TDD & more


  • Proven track record of making a positive impact in a technical leadership role i.e. technical lead, engineering manager or similar
  • Hands-on experience working with Scala, cloud-related technologies (AWS, Docker etc.) and any experience with App DevOps would be a huge bonus
  • Experience managing teams of 6+ engineers in a product-driven environment


  • Up to £140,000 base salary + company performance-related bonus
  • Up to 30 days holiday with the option to work abroad for 8 weeks per year
