Software Engineer

Python – Investment Management

An Investment Management firm in Central London is looking to hire a mid-level Software Engineer with strong Python experience to join their central IT team in a new permanent position.

As a Software Engineer, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your existing Python software engineering and Cloud technology experience by building cloud-native applications to support different investment and operational functions.

Your Key responsibilities will be:

  • Designing and building scalable and cloud-native applications using technology such as Python, Javascript and cloud technologies.
  • Supporting and Implementing new applications and tools such as pricing and order management to support Exchange-Traded Fund products (ETFs)
  • Working with internal technology leadership to determine a strategy for the business technology roadmap

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • 2-4 years’ commercial experience of using Python to develop applications within Financial Services (essential), preferably with ETFs
  • Commercial experience working with Cloud technology (preferably AWS or Azure)
  • DevOps experience such as CI/CD setup, Docker containers, Git, Bitbucket, Terraform
