Data Engineer (All Levels) / Junior Data Architect

Location: Mechelen, 1 day per week onsite
Language Requirements: Dutch AND English

As a Data Engineer/Junior Architect, you’ll design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure for optimal delivery and transformation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll implement efficient data solutions using various tools and technologies. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate Data Engineers who are aiming to join a high-performing multinational team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data availability and quality
  • Implement data integration solutions using SQL, Python, PySpark, and other relevant technologies
  • Utilize Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, and other visualization tools to create insightful reports and dashboards
  • Optimize data processing and storage systems for scalability, performance, and reliability

Experience:

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with SQL and data modelling concepts
  • Extensive experience with Azure Data Technologies
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, etc.
  • Experience with Big Data processing frameworks like PySpark
