Orbis is working with a high net-worth family in a House Manager/Tech Support Engineer role supporting them in the office as well as family properties. Work will range from troubleshooting wifi and mobile devices, AV/high-end audio setup/troubleshooting in properties around NYC, and coordinating with external contractors for large-scale projects.
Patience with both older and younger family members in solving tech issues is key. As is discretion.
Day to day this will work out of their office in midtown, but there will be some travel (Zipcar provided) to properties within 90 minutes of NYC.
This role will be involved in sophisticated tech projects, construction etc, For example, they could need to re-cable, handle AV, or look at different tech setups, etc.
This role will work with both high-end audio and yacht AV/networking hardware. Experience with either is a huge plus.
Hours should be standard 8-6 Monday-Friday, but there may be occasional calls outside of working hours.
