The company is a Data analytics start-up, that utilises machine learning, alt data and emerging technologies to create economic and market forecasts.

Founded in 2021, they have scaled and attracted investment in an impressive amount of time and are currently valued at £7m. With some ambitious growth plans ahead, they are looking to make their first hire in the Sales team.

Role Summary 💼

As a Business Development Lead/Sales Lead, you will play a pivotal role in defining the growth strategy, driving revenue generation and expanding the client base predominately across the Fixed Income market.

A deep understanding of Fixed Income products and services, combined with your exceptional sales skills, will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities 🔑

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to promote Fixed Income products and market data to potential clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify new business opportunities and target prospective clients to expand our market presence.
  • Collaborate closely with the Fixed Income research and product teams to stay updated on market trends and deliver tailored solutions to clients.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations and engage in consultative selling to showcase the value of our Fixed Income offerings.
  • Negotiate and finalize sales contracts, ensuring terms are aligned with the company’s objectives and standards.
  • Keep abreast of competitors’ activities and market developments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving results.

Experience Required 🧠

  • Proven track record as a successful Sales Lead or Sales Manager in the Financial Services industry, with a focus on Fixed Income products.
  • In-depth knowledge of Fixed Income markets, including bonds, securities, and related financial instruments.
  • Established network of institutional clients and high-net-worth individuals in the Fixed Income space.
  • Strong understanding of economic trends and their impact on Fixed Income investments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team, driving them to exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • A results-driven mindset with a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
